Accessing the Kilometer section

I am new to the CarPort software. I have downloaded the BETA software. When accessing the Instrument Cluster section, at Adaption, if I put in a value at the Kilometer Section, Pressing Test shows an error. Does this section work or what do I do wrong. I have a Jetta V Tdi model.

"Error" simply means that the speedometer doesn't accept the value. If you tell me the part number and what you are trying to do, i may be able to help you.

I was going through all of the features of the software and one being be able to change the values on the speedo cluster. I have tried putting any value in, even the existing value but it keeps coming up with an error. Am I doing something wrong or does this feature not working correctly yes. Any help will be appreciated. It is the cluster section, adaption. Please reply in english.

You can reset the service interval, but it's not possible to change the kilometer via diagnostic services (except for some new unused speedometers).

Any chance this feature would be added to have full controll of the cluster in changing the kilometers. Also, it would be an added bonus if all indicating light on the cluster can be tested to see if the actually does work.

There are special software for changing the milage of non-new instrument clusters.

I dont think a feature like this will be added to carport soon, because its not really diagnostic related.
